2016 The List the Entrance Requirements for Haneul Academy

The Admission Committee of Haneul Academy seeks students who are motivated, who will become involved, and who will commit themselves to a high standard of intellectual and personal growth. In the same vein, if you are a curious, high achieving student who is interested in extracurricular activities and being part of a distinctive academic community, the Haneul Academy could be a great match for you.   • 1. The Number of students to be Admitted to Haneul Academy: 225 in total
    (a coeducational school, 21~28 students per class)

    Screening type A The children of employees of Incheon International Airport Corporation 100
    Screening type B The children of local residents 40
    Screening type C The children of citizens of lncheon City 20
    Screening type D The children across the country 20

  • 2. Application Requirements
    • (1) Screening type A, B and C:a graduate-to-be or or a graduate from any middle school in Incheon city (only students who actually live in Incheon City and who are registered as a citizen of Incheon City with their parents are able to apply for Haneul Academy.)
    • (2) Screening type D: a graduate-to-be or a graduate from any middle school in South Korea
    • (3) Recipients of livelihood program: a graduate-to-be or a graduate from any middle school in Incheon (only students who actually live in Incheon City and are registered as a citizen of Incheon City with their parents are able to apply for Haneul Academy.)
  • 3. The Criteria for Evaluation
    • (1) The first evaluation: Twice more students than actual students to be admitted in the final stage get through to thedocument screening process based on the middle school academic reports.
    • (2) The second evaluation: academic reports(200 points) + interview(40 points) = 240 points.

    • 1) Fill out and submit an interview application form, which can be downloaded from Haneul Academy website (http://www.haneul.hs.kr).
    • 2) The ratio of items being reflected on the admission is 40 points in total : the process of self-directed learning and a career plan(20 points) + volunteer work and activites(10 points) + reading(10 points).
    • 3) The students who get less then 20 points in the interview should be aware of the fact that they will not be accepted to Haneul Academy regardless of grades.
  • 4. Information of Submitting Application Form and Required Documents.

      Tips for Submitting Application form
      • 1) The standard method for wubmitting the application is internet Application via the Online Application System. The printed documents should ve submitted in person at the administration office of Haneul Academy with fee in cash
      • 2) A record of Student attendance, hours of volunteer work and academic reecord section should be signed and sealed by their HR teachers.
      • 3) Fill out the letter of recommendation using the information which is only relevant to an applicant.
      • 4) There is no benefit by filling in any kinds of English proficiency test score. If any, it will be disavan tages to an applicant.
      • 5) A photo(3cm¡¿4cm) should be uploaded via online application system. it should be attached on a printed from with the school stamp on.

      • - Four copies of a school report on student's grades and conduct

        - exception for GED

      • - Plans for self-directed learning

    • (1) Submitting Application Form and Required Documents
      • 1) If any of the submitted materials contains false information, admission will be rescinded.
      • 2) Students who fail to submit all of the requisite records may adversely affect applicants.
      • 3) Be sure to make and keep photocopies of all completed forms. Submitted documents will not be returned to the applicants. The application fee is also non refundable.
      • 4) Applicants should take full responsibility for any disadvantages due to the mistakes or omissions on the application.
      • 5) It is mandatory for all students to live in the dormitory.
